InView RVS-02-360: Troubleshooting Guide

If your 360-degree system is not displaying correctly, showing a black screen, or one or more cameras are not working, the steps below will help you identify and fix the most common issues.

System Won't Power On

  • Confirm the monitor is receiving power and turning on.
  • Check that the vehicle ignition is on.
  • Check all fuse connections. Make sure the voltage is above 9.5V, and the ACC wire is connected.

Black Screen or No Signal

  • Confirm the monitor is set to the correct input channel.
  • Turn the vehicle off and back on to restart the system.
  • Check that all cables are securely connected and no pins are bent or damaged.

One Camera Not Showing

  • Inspect the camera connection and cable for damage or looseness.
  • Swap the cable to a working channel to determine whether the issue is the camera or the cable.
  • Clean the lens if the image is unclear or washed out.

All Cameras Down

  • This usually points to a power or ECU issue rather than individual cameras.
  • Check the power connection to the ECU and confirm all harness connectors are fully seated.

360-Degree Image Looks Misaligned or Distorted

The system may need recalibration. See InView 360° Stitching Looks Wrong: How to Recalibrate for step-by-step instructions.

Screen Lock Is On

If the menu is locked and you cannot access settings:

  1. Power up the vehicle.
  2. Point the remote at the monitor and press MENU.
  3. Arrow over to the SYSTEM icon (the wrench/spanner icon) and press SELECT.
  4. Inside the System menu, navigate to System and turn Menu Lock off.

Installation Time

If you are still in the process of installing your system, here is a general estimate for how long it takes:

  • Professional installer: Approximately 8 to 10 hours
  • DIY: Approximately 10 to 14 hours

Common Issues

Symptom What to check
Black region in the 360 view Indicates a failed camera; inspect connections and the camera itself
Night vision is washed out or not working Clean the lens; confirm voltage is within 9-12V for IR LEDs
Image quality is poor Clean the lens; check connections for corrosion or looseness
Rain reducing visibility Water droplets on the lens are normal in heavy rain; the image should clear when the rain stops
The system keeps rebooting Keep power supply wires short to avoid voltage drop and boot loops
Calibration errors after install Verify cameras are mounted at the correct height and position; recalibrate
