InView 360 System: Frequently Asked Questions

Features & Compatibility

What are the key features of the RVS-02-360? The RVS-02-360 includes a T5 chip for feature regulation, VGA inputs for a 10-pin monitor cable, a CVBS input for monitor connection, four SD card slots supporting up to 512GB each (2TB total), and a radar input for additional sensors.

Can I connect the yellow trigger wire directly to the power source? Yes, the yellow ACC wire and red power wire can be tied together without damaging the system. Note that doing so may compromise the last saved video file.

Is a 12.8V, 5A power supply sufficient? Yes. The system consumes 2-2.5A, so a 12.8V, 5A supply is adequate. Keep wire runs as short as possible to avoid voltage drops.

What are the USB ports used for? The RVS-02-360 has two USB inputs. The front USB (located near the SD cards) is for uploading software or retrieving footage. The rear USB connects to a mouse for menu navigation.

Installation & Placement

How should the ECU be mounted? Mount the ECU directly against a metal surface to improve heat dissipation. Avoid mounting on carpet, rubber, or inside enclosed cabinets.

What happens if side cameras are installed at different heights? A difference of 2-3 inches is acceptable. Larger height differences may cause calibration issues.

What are the camera spacing requirements? Front and rear cameras should be centered and mounted as high as possible. Side cameras should be equidistant from the vehicle centerline and at the same height as each other.

Camera Views & Functionality

How does rain affect camera visibility? Heavy rain can reduce visibility if water accumulates on the lens.

How far can the rear camera see? The rear channel can display vehicles following behind the towed vehicle. Range depends on the camera and vehicle height.

What happens if a camera fails? A black region will appear in the 360-degree blended view where that camera's feed would normally display.

With 6 cameras, will the overhead view extend further down the road? Yes. Adjust the front camera distance in the AVM menu under Surround View.

Data Management

How do I download recorded footage? Remove the SD card from the ECU or use a USB drive connected to the front USB port. An SD card must be installed to capture and store video data.

What SD cards does the unit support? Up to 4 SD cards, 512GB each, for a total capacity of 2TB.

Can I download specific portions of footage to a flash drive? Yes.

Power & Continuous Operation

Can the system monitor the vehicle when parked? Yes, the system can monitor the vehicle perimeter when powered by shore or generator power.

Is there a time limit for ECU operation? No. The ECU can operate continuously as long as it is properly ventilated.

Will the cameras work if the engine is off but the generator is on? Yes. The cameras draw power from the ECU, which operates independently of the engine.

Can turn signal activation be disabled? No. This feature cannot be disabled through the software.

Does the system continuously overwrite video data? Yes. General video data is continuously overwritten, but event-triggered recordings are preserved.

Troubleshooting

What should I do if the monitor does not power on? Check the voltage at the monitor connection -- it should be above 9.5V. Confirm the ACC wire is connected properly.

Why would the ECU overheat? The ECU will overheat if enclosed in a cabinet or covered with insulating material. Ensure it is mounted on a metal surface with adequate ventilation.
