Not sure which MobileMule DVR you have? Here are a few quick ways to find out. Knowing your model helps us get you the right answer faster.
Method 1 — Check the label on the unit
Look for a sticker on the bottom or side of your DVR. The model number will be printed there. Here's what to look for:

Method 2 — Check the box color
- Black box = Standard DVR (5500, 1080, or 8171 Series)
- Blue box = AI DVR (5200 or 8200 Series)
Method 3 — Count your camera channels
How many camera feeds appear on your monitor?

Method 4 — Check your storage type
- SD card slot = 5500 Series, 5200 Series, or 8200 Series
- Hard drive (HDD) = 1080 Series or 8171 Series
Method 5 — Check the system info screen
- Press the blue Info button on your DVR remote.
- The System Info screen will appear and show your hardware version (HW number), which identifies your unit.
