Finding the right replacement part starts with knowing what type of system you have. RVS sells several different camera system types, and parts are not always interchangeable between them — even if the connectors look the same.
Use this article to find the right compatibility guide for your system.
What type of system do you have?
Standard Backup Camera System
A single camera mounted at the rear of your vehicle is connected to a monitor in the cab.
What you need to know before ordering:
- Your camera and monitor must use the same signal type: AHD, CVBS, or FHD
- Your connector type (most RVS systems use a 4-pin round connector)
- Your cable length requirement

MobileMule DVR System
A black or blue recording box connected to multiple cameras throughout your vehicle.
What you need to know before ordering:
- Your DVR model number (found on the label on the unit)
- How many camera channels your DVR supports
- Your camera signal type (AHD or FHD depending on model)

InView 360 Surround View System
Four cameras creating a bird's-eye overhead view around your vehicle.
What you need to know before ordering:
- Your system model (RVS-02-360 or RVS-03-360 / 360-K1EA)
- InView 360 cameras are system-specific and not interchangeable with standard backup cameras

Air Vue Wireless Backup Camera System
A wireless camera and transmitter system with no long cable runs.
What you need to know before ordering:
- Your Air Vue model (transmitter and receiver must be matched)
- Replacement cameras must be compatible with your specific Air Vue transmitter

FedEx / P&D Camera System
Camera systems installed on FedEx delivery vehicles with specific compliance requirements.
What you need to know before ordering:
- Your vehicle type (sprinter van, step van, etc.)
- Your current camera model and signal type (AHD or CVBS)
- FedEx P&D systems use specific part numbers — ordering the wrong type is a common issue

The most important rule when ordering replacement parts
Matching connectors does NOT mean compatibility.
RVS cameras, monitors, and cables use similar 4-pin connectors across AHD, CVBS, and FHD systems. A part can physically plug in and still cause a No Signal error if the signal types don't match. Always confirm signal type before ordering.
