Display & Image

Why does my screen show static? The camera type setting is likely set to CVBS PAL, which is the default. Change it to 1080 NTSC. Navigate to: Settings > Camera Type > 1080 NTSC.

How do I split the screen view? Use the PIP button to cycle between single, dual, and triple view modes.

How do I turn off mirror mode? Navigate to: Settings > Select Channel > Mirror > Off.

Radar & Audio

My radar isn't making any sound. Why? Volume defaults to 0. Navigate to: Settings > Radar > Setup > Volume and adjust to the desired level.

Why am I getting false radar alerts? The green wire may be connected to constant power. Connect it to a switched or ignition power source instead. Constant power on the green wire will cause false detections.

My radar is not detecting anything. What should I check? Confirm the radar is plugged into port RH on the harness and that the green wire is receiving power correctly.

Channels & Controls

What does CA.SEL do? It allows manual switching between available camera channels.

Can I switch channels manually when the tachometer setting is on? No. When the tachometer setting is enabled, channels are locked and can only switch when the system is triggered. Disable the tachometer setting to restore manual control.

How long does it take for the camera to activate after a trigger? This is configurable. Navigate to the Trigger setting in the menu to set the delay.

Wiring

What does the green wire do? The green wire controls radar power. It should be connected to a switched or ignition source, not a constant power.

My camera is not displaying. What should I check? Verify that the blue and white camera trigger wires are connected correctly.

Compatibility & Settings

Can I use my own AHD cameras? No. The RD-24E1S only supports FHD cameras. Standard and AHD cameras are not compatible.

Are the radar settings customizable? Yes. You can choose between Fixed mode (default radar behavior) and Programmable mode (fully customizable triggers and responses). Navigate to: Settings > Radar > Setup.
